Research Education & Career

Supervised Program for Alignment Research (SPAR) is a virtual research mentorship program run by Kairos that pairs aspiring researchers with mentors on technical and governance projects addressing frontier AI risks. Its Spring 2026 round includes 13 biosecurity projects on synthesis screening, pathogen surveillance, high-containment research, information hazards, AI-enabled biological-risk evaluations, and mirror biology.
